Hello, my name is Lesly and I´m from Seville. I would like to know what you recommend to help my dog´s stomach; she suffers from vomiting and diarrhoea. Thank you.
Hello Lesly, my first recommendation is that you take your dog to the vet and do not give her any human medication without prior veterinary consent. This will only make matters worse or hide whatever is wrong with your dog. Greetings!
Hello, my name is Katy, I´m from Madrid, and I have a Persian cat. He spends most of the time home alone; between my full-time job and taking care of my daughter, unfortunately, we are hardly ever home on weekdays. I was considering adopting a female kitten to keep him company. Do you think it´s a good idea? What do you think I should do?
Hi Katy, the advantage of having two cats is that they will play together and challenge each other. If you are away from home a lot, they will keep each other company and even sleep together. There can also be downfalls to this decision, since cats are independent and solitary and very territorial they are used to routines and introducing a new pet in the house can be stressing. I recommend you make the encounter slow and steady, so they both have time to adjust and accept each other. Good luck!
Hi there! My name is Miguelín, my wife is pregnant and several of our friends have advised us to give our cat “Paco” away because he can give my spouse toxoplasmosis and affect the baby. Is this correct?
Hello Miguelín, this is totally untrue. Toxoplasmosis is a disease caused by a parasite called: Toxoplasma gondii. This disease is not as common in cats as people believe and only the cat´s faeces are contagious in any case. Besides, you can also be infected with the disease through eating fruits and vegetables that have not been properly washed. There is absolutely no need to give Paco away but if it still worries you, have somebody else clean Paco´s sandbox.
